Our History

Vincent Maytubby has been volunteering for community events that Jakky Lynette has put together for about ten years now. He was a volunteer at both of her 2026 Women's March events; Kelly Wise also showed up to the Capitol event that Jakky collaborated with Advocacy Works. Aisha Ali provided the 2026 event banner through her printing company in Norman, and Aisha later connected Jakky and Kelly to Aya Hamas to be our Treasurer.  All five board members come from different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, but share a deep investment in their community and a common belief that, above all else, we are Oklahomans who want to see Oklahoma become a place where marginalized people are seen, supported, protected, and given meaningful opportunities to thrive.

Mission & Vision Statements

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission acknowledges that societal privilege caused Early Feminism to intentionally exclude the issues of Black, Native, and Lesbian women’s issues while prioritizing White, middle-class, heterosexual goals. All marginalized women, including all other excluded communities, continue to experience discrimination both within and outside the Feminist Movements. Because these issues have not been resolved, we wish to Revitalize Feminism by declaring that intentional exclusion requires more intentional inclusion of marginalized issues to resolve the historical harms. Our mission is to also recognize that financial empowerment is the most important type of empowerment in a capitalistic society.

Our Vision

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our vision is to Revitalize Feminism by strengthening the matriarchal capacity to unite women across all lines. We believe a stronger movement is one that intentionally embraces historically underrepresented voices, recognizes that patriarchy is also harmful to the male gender, and focuses to resolve stains which have not allowed feminism to be overarchingly viewed as a positive unified movement for all women’s liberation. We reject any notion that the response to overcome a toxic patriarchy is to create a toxic matriarchy. We instead proclaim that a harmonious Matriarchy is guided by Mother Earth’s cyclical balance; and that mutual respect for all women's issues transforms awareness into partnership, partnership into measurable action, and measurable action into lasting community impact.
